Vermeer in my window

I love Vermeer, as I think most who come across his works. I work or have been working in a different form far from that of realism, or near realism at least. I started this project to give myself a challenge, something to delve deep into and to learn from my mistakes, as well as work through the things that proved difficult. My flat or flat-ish human forms are still present, and this was on purpose. mixing the flat with a close space that has depth was a good challenge and creates a dichotomy within one plane.
